Navirec system makes it possible to monitor objects supplied with special devices. These devices use GPS or GLONASS to position the vehicle and send this data, including speed, status of special equipment etc., via a mobile network (GPRS) to Navirec servers. This information can then be viewed in real-time on a map and can also be analysed using playback view or by generating statistical tables. Also, certain rules can be set up to notify you when a certain object moves too fast, enters a specific area, is using special equipment and so on.

Real time

All tracked objects are shown on a clear map and the state of each vehicle is shown upon request. The basic state of the object is also clearly visible by its icon (ignition on/off, special equipment in use).


This function gives you the ability to view where certain objects have been during a time span. The object’s routes, parking and idle times, fuel usage and usage of special equipment are shown on the map and on a graph. The data can be played back with animation and on different speeds to have a nice overview when and where certain objects were and if their routes were similar.


Navirec gives its users a good overview of their tracked objects by showing different reports. Most of these reports can also be exported as PDF and XLS files.

The most used statistical views are:

  • Daily report. This table gives the information for the selected object’s driving, parking and idle time, the distance travelled, fuel tanked, fuel used and the average usage of fuel in an hour. Each row is a full day.
  • Report based on driving. Each object’s journey is shown as a single row in a table with the start and end time of the drive, how much fuel was tanked and consumed, the duration of the drive and the distance travelled.


The Navirec system also offers an option of adding notification rules on different parameters like special status, ignition, speed, temperature and fuel. Notifications can also be related to a particular geographical area or areas. When all the conditions of a notification rule are met then an e-mail or SMS notification will be sent to the given contacts.

Service & maintenance

This module gives fleet managers control over expenses related to their fleet and enables them to plan services and maintenance for the whole fleet by just looking at one page. A fleet manager can attach different maintenance rules to vehicles and observe their status on a progress bar indicating status by colours and percentage.

All maintenance is individually programmable by setting different criteria, like time, mileage, special event, and by ordering early warning alerts for the upcoming event via an e-mail or SMS to one or more phone numbers.
